Compost Casa 501(c)(3) Non-Profit

Compost Casa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based at Neiffer Ranch, dedicated to educating about regenerative agriculture and composting practices. Our mission is to empower individuals to transform everyday waste into valuable resources that enrich the land, fostering a deeper understanding of composting, waste recycling, and regenerative farming.

At Compost Casa, we utilize the deep bedding method—a sustainable practice where layers of bedding material, such as straw or wood shavings, are added over time to absorb animal waste. This process not only provides a comfortable environment for livestock but also facilitates the natural decomposition of organic matter, resulting in nutrient-rich compost that enhances soil fertility.

Our educational programs offer hands-on experiences in composting and regenerative agriculture, teaching practical skills like pasture rotation, poultry processing, and sustainable land management. By engaging students, farmers, and community members, we aim to cultivate a new generation of land stewards committed to environmental sustainability.

Through our deep bedding compost program and school composting initiatives, Compost Casa has successfully diverted thousands of pounds of organic waste from landfills annually, transforming it into nutrient-rich compost that nourishes the soil and supports healthy ecosystems.

By integrating Compost Casa into Neiffer Ranch's operations, we demonstrate how small farms can lead in environmental stewardship and community engagement. Together, we're building a sustainable future—one compost pile at a time.
